Baristas dialing in shot recipes and brew ratios. Coffee programs training staff on extraction fundamentals. Home enthusiasts who want professional-level precision. Any espresso bar where speed, accuracy, and durability matter. Acaia Lunar vs. Common Coffee Scales Acaia Lunar vs. Jennings CJ4000 Both measure weight accurately. The Lunar offers ultra-fast response and real-time flow-rate data. The CJ4000 is a basic utility scale with no espresso-specific features. Choose the Lunar if espresso speed, feedback, and consistency matter. Acaia Lunar vs. OXO Precision Scale Both provide reliable weight measurements. The Lunar is built for espresso with rapid response and auto-timing. The OXO is designed for general kitchen and home brewing use. Choose the Lunar for professional espresso workflows. Acaia Lunar vs. TIMEMORE Scales Both focus on precision and modern design. The Lunar adds real-time flow-rate monitoring and water resistance. TIMEMORE scales target home and prosumer setups. Choose the Lunar for commercial durability and extraction control. Key Takeaway All of these scales measure weight, but the Acaia Lunar is purpose-built for espresso, delivering faster response times, real-time flow-rate data, and commercial-grade durability that home and general-use scales simply aren’t designed to handle.
